Annexe & Garden Cottage Cost Guide

The total cost of a residential annexe or garden cottage project will depend on the building design and layout, site access, ground conditions, any special foundation or drainage requirements and the customer’s joinery preferences (i.e. softwood or oak joinery, type of roof covering, type of rainwater

goods). Local contractor costs vary across the UK and may also have a bearing.

The specification of the internal fit out will also play a large part in the total cost. Bathroom goods, kitchen and workshop designs, the type of floor finish and even the type of lights and fittings can vary enormously.

The following guidelines include ‘typical’ fully installed cost estimates of the most commonly purchased standard Radnor Oak products.

The estimates assume that all site operations are undertaken by a contractor. Costs can be reduced significantly for customers who self-build, or who can undertake some of the tasks.

 

Estimates include:

  • Construction of the foundations, concrete base & dwarf walls by an Approved Contractor.

  • Your Radnor Oak building delivered to your site.

  • The erection of your oak framed building by an Approved Contractor.

  • Roofing of your oak framed building by an Approved contractor.

  • Internal ‘fit out’.

  • Plumbing and heating.
