With a full second floor, this beautifully designed two storey building offers generous ground floor bays below and a complete full-height room above. At 6.8m high, this is not a lofted space, but a true upper floor with impressive proportions and an open, cottage feel throughout.
Crafted in our Mid-Wales workshop using premium green oak and traditional mortice and tenon joints, the Brampton features substantial framing timbers, chunky oak posts, and our signature concealed weatherproofing system. The result is a robust, long-lasting structure that balances everyday practicality with a refined countryside aesthetic.The ground floor is entirely flexible - commonly used for vehicle storage, workshops, or open fronted oak car ports - with layouts tailored to suit your needs.
Above, the full-height second floor transforms the building into something far more than a garage. Accessed via an internal or external staircase, the space lends itself effortlessly to a home office, guest accommodation, studio, games room or private retreat.
A defining feature of the Brampton is its use of dormer windows above each bay, drawing natural light deep into the upper floor and increasing the useable space. Many customers choose to incorporate exposed internal oak trusses - an addition that introduces warmth, character, and that unmistakable country cottage feel, turning the upper level into a truly inviting living space.
With its scale and proportions, the Brampton offers the versatility of a small oak framed cottage, while retaining the functionality of a traditional oak garage below. Due to its overall height, planning permission is usually required, and we can provide detailed drawings to support your application - making the process as straightforward as possible.
